Clinical Services
For more than 30 years, the University
of Illinois College of Medicine at Rockford has maintained
a reputation of integrity and dedication to the people of
northern Illinois.
In response to the increasing need for competent and reliable
outpatient mental health evaluation and care, the department
of psychiatry at the University of Illinois College of Medicine
at Rockford has created a comprehensive, University-based
psychiatric clinic.
We have professional therapists qualified to work with children,
adolescents and adults through individual, family or group
counseling. Our resources enable us to employ a wide range
of testing and evaluation procedures, as well as treatments
including the use of medication when needed.
The diversity of specialization among our professional staff
and the multiple disciplines present in the University setting
encourage a team approach. Each patient benefits from the
medical, behavioral and social work expertise available here.
University resources also enable us to offer a wide variety
of educational seminars and training sessions to the greater
Rockford community.
As part of our approach to helping people discover their
true potential, we are dedicated to a holistic view that treats
patients as physical, emotional and spiritual beings in an
environment that is both safe and non-judgmental.
