The good news is that the Rockford housing market is renter friendly. As a result, the search for housing for incoming M2 students usually doesn't begin until June or July. Nevertheless, we understand your interest in knowing housing options and can provide you with a housing list put together by our office.   Simply e-mail Doreen Dowdakin at doreenn@uic.edu and she will be happy to send you one.   Another good source of information is the classified ads in the Rockford newspaper available at http://www.rockfordregisterstar.com/

The Office of Student & Alumni Affairs looks forward to welcoming you to the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Rockford.   We encourage you to visit our campus and the Rockford community and are happy to answer any questions you may have. There is a phone available in the student mailroom for incoming students to make local calls and a daily newspaper to check current apartment listings.
