University Outreach and Public Service supports the continuing education and public service efforts of the University of Illinois. Through four regional offices strategically located across the state, University Outreach and Public Service is a critical link between the University and the citizens of Illinois.

In each regional Office of University Outreach and Public Service, a Regional Program Director is responsible for maintaining a substantial knowledge base pertaining to both the complex characteristics of the region and to the structure, staff, and multiple missions of University of Illinois campuses at Chicago, Springfield, and Urbana-Champaign.

Regional Program Directors fulfill a two-fold function by interpreting the educational needs of the regions they serve to the campuses and by bringing the appropriate resources of the University to their regions. Additionally, all Regional Program Directors support activities and programs of any University of Illinois unit by providing local administrative assistance with site arrangements, program promotion, and registration.

Regional Program Directors respond to hundreds of inquiries regarding the programs and services available through the University. In each case, every effort is made to ensure a response that is timely, accurate, and reflective of the quality exemplified by the University of Illinois.
