1.
Register for Classes via Web For Students
To register for classes, you will use
the UI-Integrate Self-Service system. To use this system,
you will first need to establish two IDs with passwords: a
NetID and an EnterpriseID. Registration for newly admitted
students will open early May. Consult ‘Web for Student’
for your Time Ticket.
Before you begin, gather the following information:
• University Identification Number (UIN)
or Applicant ID – This has been provided to you in your
Notice of Admissions Letter.
• Social Security Number (SSN) OR,
• If you did not provide your SSN during the admissions
process, a Temporary Control Number (TCN) – This has
been provided to you on your Notice of Admissions Letter.
• Date of Birth
If you still need help registering, call the Registration
Help Line at (312) 996-8600 Mon-Fri 8:30 am - 5:00 pm.
2. Register for your UIC Computer Account
The NetID is REQUIRED! It allows you to register as well as
allows you access to campus specific sites and services, such
as email, use of computer lab equipment, etc. You will need
to establish your NetID to establish an EnterpriseID, so it
is important to set up your NetID first.
• Go to http://activatenetid.accc.uic.edu
Follow the instructions listed for establishing a NetID and
password.
Be sure to remember your password.
If you have any problems establishing your NetID and password,
contact:
ACCC Help Desk – (312) 413-8080
Email: consult@uic.edu
3. Activate your UIC email account
– it’s mandatory
To activate your UIC email account, visit: https://tigger.uic.edu/htbin/cgiwrap/bin/password/pass.cgi?dispatch=acct_panel
Why you need to activate your UIC email:
• Access to SPH listservs
• Access to any UIC public lab on campus
• Network Services Kit (NSKIT) usage - You will be able
to access the university system and the Internet from an off-campus
site through dial-up telephone lines; no additional Internet
provider is necessary.
• Online course access - All MPH students will take
at least one online course during their academic career at
SPH. In order to access the course one must establish a UIC
account.
• Access to thousands of online journals through the
e-library.
• To keep updated on university happenings.
• YOU CANNOT REGISTER WITHOUT IT!
If you'd prefer to use an alternative email
account (e.g., a hotmail or yahoo address, rather than the
UIC account) you should set up the mail forwarding mechanism
for your UIC email address. To do this, visit emails tools:
http://www.uic.edu/depts/accc/home/EMAIL.html.
4. Establish your Enterprise ID and
Password
The EnterpriseID allows you access to UI-Integrate Self-Service
– the University-wide administrative system for official
records, e.g. Student Services, Financial Aid, Billing, and
other services.
• Go to:
https://apps.uillinois.edu and select
the Student & Faculty Self-Service link. Next, select
University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) link, scroll down,
and follow instructions for first time users. You will then
be prompted for your NetID. When you type in your NetID, add
“@uic.edu” at the end. For example, if your UIC
NetID is joan, enter joan@uic.edu. Click
Enter. You will be prompted for your NetID password (the one
you established in the last step)
• You will be provided your EnterpriseID.
NOTE: In many cases your Enterprise ID will be the same as
your NetID. If your NetID is different from your EnterpriseID,
you will need to know both depending on which system you wish
to access.
•
Once your Enterprise ID is displayed, you will need to establish
an EnterpriseID password. There are specific guidelines for
setting your password. Please follow the guidelines carefully.
Please remember your EnterpriseID and password. You are now
ready to register!
If you have any problems establishing your EnterpriseID and
password and/or registering for classes, contact AITS Help
Desk at (312) 996-4806 or email helpdesk2@uillinois.edu
