College of Pharmacy
The
University of Illinois at Chicago College of Pharmacy plans
to welcome its first class of 50 students to the Rockford
campus beginning in the fall of 2009. Rockford students will
have the same courses as Chicago students with the exception
of some possible electives, leading to the Doctor of Pharmacy
(PharmD) degree.
Students
will attend all four years at the Rockford campus. The first
three years are didactic. The fourth year will involve a series
of seven, six-week rotations in clinics, pharmacies and hospitals.
Admission
into the program has a minimum requirement of two years in
pre-pharmacy however, 70 percent of those admitted will have
a bachelor of science degree.
