Research?
To

LEFT side of this page (first entry under "Research Units").
Health Systems Research (HSR), a unit of
the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Rockford,
serves faculty, students, health care providers, human services
agencies and other community organizations throughout Illinois
with demographic, health, social and economic data. The skills,
data and resources available to faculty and students at the
College are also available to individuals and organizations
needing assistance.
HSR provides limited consultation, works in conjunction with
your staff or volunteers, or assumes total responsibility
for projects - whichever meets your needs. HSR handles both
large and small projects. We have assisted more than 200 organizations
throughout Illinois including hospitals, nursing homes, local
health departments, United Ways, schools, government, community
and not-for-profit agencies. An extensive list of current
projects is available upon request.
HSR is designated as a Census Affiliate by the U.S. Department
of Commerce and houses a large repository of census and community
information. Included are vital statistics, demographic, socioeconomic,
health care utilization, manpower and other social indicators.
Serving the information needs of the community reflects the
philosophy of the College to be part of and to serve northern
Illinois. As a community service, HSR will respond to requests
from local residents and students for readily available information.
